808nm Diode Laser System: Widely practiced and ideal hair removal system in clinical use. Selective photothermolysis (SPTL) matches specific wavelengths of light and pulse duration to obtain optimal effect on targeted tissue with minimal effect on surrounding tissue. Lasers cause localized damage by selectively heating melanin in the hair follicle while sparing the rest of the skin.
IPL (Intense Pulsed Light): Uses filtered broadband light technology to selectively heat specific targets (chromophores) in the skin. Depending on the wavelength selected, the target can be melanin or haemoglobin, effectively treating pigmentation, spider veins, and hair follicles without harming normal skin.
