An optimal intensity is achieved by treating the same area multiple times with low energy impulses. This makes the treatment more comfortable and the skin better protected than conventional methods.
Light skin with dark hair responds best. However, OPT-technology also targets the protein in the follicle, enabling successful treatment of dark skin and fine hairs.
Treatment with OPT is practically painless. In areas with dense growth, a slight warmth may be felt, but it is much less intense than laser or conventional IPL.
Since growth cycles vary, approximately 8 treatments are usually necessary to cover all hair phases successfully.
Some redness may occur in sensitive areas, similar to a light sunburn, which disappears within hours or a few days. Permanent alterations are extremely rare.
UV protection (SPF 30-50) should be applied for 1 week. Hairs will naturally fall out after 1-5 weeks. Shaving is allowed, but plucking should be avoided.
